Embroidery, for Greeting Card

Many women in Afghanistan are expert embroiderers, making decorated pillows, curtains, food covers, and furniture coverings for their homes as a key part of being an accomplished woman. Khatima has adapted this skill to making small embroidered squares that RAW places into cotton frames to make greeting cards.  Khatima and her female kin also craft elaborate embroidered insets for festive clothing for their families.
