Katidja Bouba

Katidja Bouba, originally from Central African Republic, draws on exceptionally rich embroidery traditions found throughout West and Central Africa. She is becoming well-known throughout Worcester, especially for her greeting card inserts she made for a fund raising drive being held for the local non-profit ACE, African Community Education. That embroidery insert for the cards says "ACE," She turned these out in great profusion. Her work is meticulous and a way to help finance her family's household needs. She also made embroidered tote bags, again with the word ACE emblazoned on it.
