Nir has a repeated fondness for pinkish threads and plaid designs. These are both rather unorthodox choices within her weaving circles. She uses table legs for warping her loom, in collaboration with another weaver in her house, Maita. Nir employs rustic patterns and her color palette is variable, leaning often to oranges and pinks. The intricacy of her work is excellent; her motif structure is often somewhat simplified. Perhaps her fondness for plaids echoes this.
